Read full description of the books:

Now, I don't usually write bad reviews of books, because I know how hard authors work to write them, but I just couldn't NOT write something after reading this book. In a word, it was horrible. The writing was some of the worst I've read, and I've read a lot of books. It seemed to me like Ms. Banks was so preoccupied with getting to the next big event of the book, she didn't really care how she got there. In the beginning, I was taken aback when (view spoiler)[ the father let Artemis drink beer. She goes on to say, as a way of explanation, he's a cool dad. (hide spoiler)] But that's not cool, it's just poor parenting, no matter how you put it. I was also very frustrated with the way that Artemis (view spoiler)[ literally does whatever Ares wants with little to no complaint. You'd think she would have a bit of a backbone, but when he orders her around, she immediately submits. (hide spoiler)] This makes her come off as not only naive, but stupid. Not to mention how creepy Ares actually is. Despite the reviews promising this great romance, there is no chemistry between Artemis and Ares at all. He just comes off as stalkerish and controlling. Lastly, because if I don't stop myself I could go on for hours, I hated the way that Artemis treated her best friend. I'm not even going to pretend to remember his name, but he (for whatever strange reason) clearly cared about her and she dismissed him like he hadn't been there for her when no one else was. I get that there is supposed to be a love triangle in which she only falls for one of the guys, but she was outright rude to him. I wasn't even able to finish the book, and I'm not ashamed to say it. If you are a fan of any well-written books (Harry Potter, Mortal Instruments Series, Percy Jackson, etc.) I BEG you not to read this book. It is just a waste of money and time.
